Community Liaison Officer's Update
Last month the new cold calling signs were installed which we hope will act as a good deterrent (and keep others vigilant) as there have been increases in doorstep crime across Kent.
The next Community Safety surgery will be on the 18th September from 1.15pm until 2.45pm at the Heart of Headcorn Hub.
Stuart specifically would like to thank those residents that have reported incidents/information previously and continue to do so – it is really important that we continue to do this as a Village as we will then receive more resources/assistance from the Police.
The Dementia pop up Café continues – every second Tuesday of the month at the Heart of Headcorn – the café is also beneficial to carers of dementia sufferers as it gives an opportunity to meet others who are going through challenging times.

Play Park at Days Green
Unfortunately we have been forced to close the play park on Days Green due to a number of defects and because signage warning of damage and danger has been repeatedly removed. The small swings have had the seats damaged, the slides have been stamped on causing metal edges to come up on them and the surfacing around the roundabout has come off. Until we can get these fixed it is not safe to keep it open and so we have had to lock the gates. The closure will be as short as we can possibly make it. Anyone using it despite it being closed does so at their own and their children's risk.
