Parish Council News
Community Liaison Officer's Update
Headcorn’s Community Liaison Officer Stuart Ellesmere continues his duties around the community, and this month reports that there have been a number of Community Protection warnings issued by Kent Police and Maidstone Borough Council for Anti-Social Behaviour in the village. He continues to urge you to report any incidents using the link below or by calling 101.
Last month’s Community Surgery in Costa was well attended. If you aren’t able to make these you can always contact Stuart or the Parish Council directly for support.
Finally, Stuart reports on some areas of the village regularly attracting flytipping - with accumulations of litter dropped. Please remember there are hefty fines for this. Most of you already display an immense pride our community, let’s hope that can spread further.
Speedwatch
Last week we held a very successful Speed Watch for the first time in quite a while. Expect to see us a bit more often now, out and about in Headcorn keeping an eye on speed in and around the Village. This is a very useful tool to help bring speed down, so if anyone wants to help out with this and become a member of the Speedwatch Team please do let us know. We will be mostly doing daylight hours randomly around the Village in various police approved locations so if you can commit to this please do let us know.
Council Meeting Break
Please be aware that there will be no Full Council meeting in August, or Open Spaces meeting. This is to allow our volunteer councillors a well-earned break. Meetings will resume as normal in September. The Parish office will remain open as usual over the holiday period.

No Excuses!
The Parish Council has now installed three poo bag dispensers at Hoggs Bridge, Day’s Green and Parsonage Meadow. So if you do happen to run out of bags or forget there is no excuse.
