Vote on PWLB Loan Meeting
Headcorn Parish Council has agreed to ask parishioners whether they would support a Public Works Board Loan for the Methodist Church building. This would provide financial support in the same way as the Parish Council supported the Village Hall.
The meeting to discuss and vote on the proposed PWLB Loan is to be held on Wednesday 18th May, at 7pm in Longmeadow Hall.
Everyone is welcome.

Jubilee Beacon
If you know of any groups in the community who might like to participate in the Beacon lighting event on 2nd June then do get in touch. We hope to include some music and refreshments at Days Green for the whole village to enjoy.

Buried Treasure!
Our village lengthsmen have been out to bury'treasure' somewhere in the Village for the May Fair! If you visit the Parish Council's stand at the Fair you'll be able to try and guess its location.
The winner will be able to dig it up!

New Stuff!
There will some new things appearing at Parsonage Meadow and Hoggs Bridge Green over coming weeks. This will include picnic tables/benches at Parsonage Meadow - hopefully in time for the Jubilee picnic. So you'll be able to comfortably sit and enjoy this open space.
At Hoggs Bridge Green there will not only be picnic tables but also benches and a new 'multi-use games accessory' to upgrade the one already there. We'll tidy up the hedging too!

End of Year Accounts
The Parish Council's end of year accounts are available to view on the PC website. As you will have now received your Council Tax notification you will have seen the Parish precept included. The rise of 11% represents less than £1 a month extra, and should ensure the Parish Council has the means to cover all foreseen costs this year.

Planning Applications
When new planning applications are received they are published for review online before being considered by the Parish Council's Planning Committee. If you'd like to take a look at plans being submitted you can see them on the website here:

Online Reporting
If you should observe any flytipping in the Village (including household waste left by bins), potholes or antisocial behaviour please don't forget to report it using this link. Maidstone Borough Council has committed to help with all of these.

Fantastic Turnout!
The Parish Council were delighted that so many of you attended the Annual Parish Meeting last month. With a full hall and the prospect of sociable chat at the end it proved a great opportunity to gather and meet. Don't forget you can always call in to the Parish Office if you want to meet us.
