Parish Council News
Speed Enforcement
The new speed monitoring devices are ordered and will be here soon. These are likely to be placed in three areas: Oak Lane, Mill Bank and Kings Road. Their location can be rotated. It is expected they should be operational by the middle of May.
In addition, there is a regular visiting speed enforcement officer - more on that next month.

Jubilee Beacon
As previously announced, the Village beacon will be lit on Thursday 2nd June in the evening.
The Parish Council is planning to develop a social event around this to allow the community to come together and enjoy an evening celebration.
As soon as details are confirmed we will publicise these to everyone.

May Fair
The Parish Council is delighted that our annual May Fair is back this year. We will be hosting a games stand at the May Fair, to include a Treasure Hunt with ACTUAL treasure buried in the Village!
If you'd like to be in with a chance to dig it up then come and find us on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May. The May Fair starts at midday.

Woodland Pathways
Our Village lengthsmen have worked hard over recent months to create an attractive network of pathways at the back of the burial ground area of the Village. This includes a woodland area which has been planted with bluebells and we are hopeful of a lovely display next month.
Please do take a walk in the area but do stick to the pathways.

Annual Parish Meeting
We haven't been able to hold our Annual Parish Meeting for a couple of years due to the Pandemic. Therefore we're excited to stage the next one on Thursday 20th April in Longmeadow Hall at 7.00pm. All parishioners are most welcome. You can find out what's been going on in the past year and enjoy some refreshments with our councillors.

A Walk Around the Village!
Using our new pathways near the Village Hall, why not take a circular walk around the village, taking in our open spaces? This is mostly a level walk (there is some walking on grass at Hoggs Bridge Green) and offers spots to sit and take in your surroundings. You can download the route here:
